Townlink Freight:Celebrating Malawi@60 Independence Day

1964 – 2024, A Tribute to Freedom and Democracy

On behalf of Townlink Freight Limited, we’re thrilled to extend our warmest congratulations to the leadership and Malawian people on the momentous occasion of Malawi’s 60th Anniversary of Independence.

Malawi is a land of rich culture and history and today, every 6th July, we celebrate our Independence Day with great enthusiasm and pride. This great national holiday marks the country’s declaration of Independence from British colonial rule in 1964. The federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland was dissolved in 1963. Independence set Malawi on a path of self-rule, sovereignty, and freedom.

Over the past 60 years, Malawi has witnessed relative peace and tranquility. The country has earned its name as the Warm Heart of Africa, not only from the country’s warm temperatures and beautiful scenery, but also from the warm hearts of its friendly and kind people. The country has also made remarkable progress as a democracy.

TOWNLINK FREIGHT LIMTED as one of the esteemed corporate citizens of Malawi, and a leading logistics company, providing a diversified range of services across Malawi and beyond, such as; Air Freight Services, Sea Freight, International Haulage, Warehousing, Freight Forwarding, and Customs Clearance, joins the State President, His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, our valued customers and all Malawians as we celebrate this significant milestone.
