Michael Usi is no stranger to leadership. He holds a PhD in youth development. He has previously held ministerial positions as the Minister of Natural Resources and Climate Change, and Minister of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife. Before joining mainstream politics, Michael Usi worked as at ADRA Malawi as its Chief Executive. He was sworn in as the new Malawi vice president on 21st June 2024. Malawi heads to the polls to elect a new government in September 2025.
